It’s that time of the year again - Christmas and Yukito’s birthday for all Cardcaptor Sakura fans! Happy birthday, Yukito! ♥︎
The end of the year is also the perfect moment to reflect on the joys and surprises of the past twelve months. For us, one of the highlights was undoubtedly our visit to the CLAMP Exhibition this fall!
From stunning original artwork to an exclusive merch lineup , the exhibition truly went above and beyond to captivate fans from Japan and beyond.
This event was a grand celebration of CLAMP’s 35th Anniversary. The four-member artist group is renowned for their diverse and imaginative works, including fans favorites like Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth, and xxxHolic.
But as any true fan would know, with 28 titles to date, CLAMP’s creativity spans far beyond these well-known series. The exhibition also paid tribute to their other exceptional works, such as Kobato, Suki, Clover, X, and of course Tokyo Babylon, offering fans a comprehensive retrospective of their artistic journey.
The CLAMP Exhibition was initially held at the National Art Center in Tokyo, where it received widespread acclaim. It has then traveled to Hirakata Park in Osaka, which is where we had the pleasure of attending.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with excitement, starting with an Osaka-exclusive illustration featuring Ashura (RG Veda, CLAMP’s debut title in 1989) and Sakura (Cardcaptor Sakura).
