You know what this is about from the title—we’re back from Pokémon GO Fest, the worldwide, time-limited event that brings Trainers together from all corners of the globe.
And yes—we were lucky enough to snag tickets and attend the venue in Osaka this year, in person!
↑ GO Fest Exclusive-PokeStop in the Osaka venue this year!
The last GO Fest held in Japan was in Sendai, and this year, the event made its return to Osaka, where it was previously held in 2023.
We joined on the first day, May 29, and stepped in with many fellow Trainers right at 9:00 a.m., as the fest officially went live. It’s not every Thursday you get to run into so many Pokemon!
Our 3-Hour Catch Challenge: How Did We Do?
Despite only having a short window—just 3 hours—we made the most of it! So... did we get lucky?
1. GO-exclusive Pikachu
How adorable is this little guy? This dapper-version Pika is only available during GO Fest Osaka 2025, making it the perfect souvenir of the day.
2. Fan Rotom Surprise!
Photobomb alert! Fan Rotom popped up in our GO Snapshot photos—a fun bonus!
3. So Many Unown...
Unown letters were everywhere. We kept our eyes peeled for a shiny Unown… shiny check after shiny check… but no luck this time! Did you catch any?
4. And… RAIDS!!!
We battled Zacian and Zamazenta—two legendary Pokémon—and both were caught with the exclusive GO Fest background!
(Unfortunately, they weren’t in their Crowned forms... but a catch is a catch!)
Here are a few more snaps from the Osaka venue—tons of energy, tons of Trainers, and a real-world Pokemon adventure we won’t forget.
↑ Since Pokemon GO Fest 2025 is held in Osaka’s Expo '70 Commemorative Park, the Tower of the Sun is here to welcome all the trainers!
↑ “Babanuki” game booth in the venue
↑ Always nice to see a PokeStop IRL!
↑ Took a snap while we were entering the venue – the train station was packed with people!
Are you a Pokemon fan? Have you attended a GO Fest before? We’d love to see your catches and photos—share them with us!
And last but not least—if you’re on the hunt for rare, vintage Pikas, you’ve come to the right place:
