To celebrate 20 years of Soul Eater — one of the most unforgettable anime-manga series of the 2000s — the very first large-scale art exhibition was held in Japan, with stops in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.
The exhibition featured Atsushi Ohkubo’s precious original manuscripts and artwork, letting fans relive the story of Meisters, Weapons, and the adventures of Maka, Soul, and the gang all over again.
And guess what? We couldn’t resist going not once, but twice — first in Osaka, and then in Kyoto!
As you probably know, we grabbed a bunch of limited-edition merch from the exhibition — and it’s selling fast!

Embrace the madness
The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by Atsushi Ohkubo’s raw manuscripts, stunning art panels, and visuals that brought Soul Eater’s world to life. From iconic scenes to character panels of Maka, Soul, Black☆Star, Death the Kid, and more — it was a nostalgic, immersive dive into the signature charm, chaos, and madness that defines Soul Eater.
Enough talking – see the pictures for yourself!

Not only did the exhibition end with a heartwarming thank-you message from Atsushi Ohkubo himself — but right at the end of the tunnel, the merch store was waiting for us!
