"The Last Messenger: Kaworu Nagisa Exhibition" is the show we didn't know we needed

For dedicated fans of Neon Genesis Evangelion, the character of Kaworu Nagisa remains one of the series' most enigmatic and beloved figures. Despite his relatively brief appearance, his immense popularity speaks for itself—so much so that Evangelion is hosting a solo exhibition dedicated entirely to him: “The Last Messenger: Kaworu Nagisa Exhibition!”

It's probably not an overstatement to say that this exhibition, which has been touring major cities including Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, is further enlarging Kaworu’s fanbase. As one might have expected, the space features literally walls of Kaworu key visuals and high-quality artwork panels from both the original TV anime and the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. On top of those, there are enlarged replicas of his early draft drawings and a showcase displaying a to-be-released high-quality figure that collectors definitely can’t resist.

What’s more, the exhibition even included various interactive installations — the one that went viral online was a photo spot that allowed visitors to take Shinji's place and sit alongside Kaworu himself on the bed—a scene straight out of one of the Rebuild movies!
