Unveiling the Darkly Cute: Junji Ito x Sanrio Characters Collaboration Exclusive Goods!

In early autumn this year, the one-of-a-kind Junji Ito x Sanrio Characters (伊藤潤二 x サンリオキャラクターズ) Collaboration was brought to Osaka soon after its premiere in Tokyo. Blending the macabre brilliance of Junji Ito’s horror manga with the adorable charm of Sanrio Characters, this pop-up event was filled with limited-edition goods – and visitors from all over the world!

As for those of you who couldn’t make it, don’t panic – we managed to bring home some “Gyaru Tomie” exclusive items for you! Visit our collection HERE.

It is easy to see why the pop-up became the talk of the town. Junji Ito is a contemporary master of Japanese horror manga, widely acclaimed for his hauntingly beautiful characters such as “Tomie,” as well as the unsettling “Boy in Black” and “Boy in White” from the story “Beautiful Boy at the Crossroads.” A repeated recipient of the prestigious Eisner Awards and the Inkpot Award at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con, Junji Ito has undoubtedly garnered significant attention from international audiences.

On the other hand, Sanrio, with its iconic characters like Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Cinnamoroll, certainly needs no introduction. When these two distinct worlds join together, they create a captivating blend that appeals to everyone!

The merchandise were split into three main sections: Gyaru Tomie adorned with Hello Kitty (ギャル富江 x ハローキティ), the floating Beautiful Boy at the Crossroads with Sanrio characters (浮遊する四つ辻の美少年), and Ito's characters cosplaying as different Sanrio characters (まねっこ).

The event proved so successful from the beginning that purchase limits were strictly imposed. Don’t miss out to get a taste of “Gyaru Tomie x Hello Kitty” from our limited stock collection!
